Not every product needs (or can afford) all of the testing methods listed here. The good news is that MOBIUS LABS offers two widely accepted strategic approaches that focus efforts on only the tests that your product actually requires, saving you both time and money.

• Context-Driven Testing
  This approach looks thoroughly at the environments in which your product will function, structuring testing plans on that basis.
  
  For example, a simple, single-user, Access-based tracking application does not need load testing or quick, automated input of many values. But, it quite likely should be checked to be sure it works under Office 2007 and Vista. And Functional Testing might examine how it reacts to impossible values mistyped into it fields.
  
  
• Expert Testing Here, the testing manager learns as much about the product and the underlying technology as the product’s designers and developers know.
  
  Say that your product exercises a large portion of the operating system, database and network. Armed with an intimate understanding of these peripheral relationships, we then plan the test coverage that you need, eliminating what you don’t. And we give you defect feedback that not only indicates something went wrong but also analyzes why it went wrong.
